Water is life! Musical approaches to raising awareness for the Great Transformation
Hybrid event with livestream as part of the lecture series: "Water: From extreme events to resource protection".
Prof. Dr. Christiane Meyer, as well as musicians from the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover and the Orchestra of Change, respectively, will tie in this event with the "Work that Reconnects" by systems scientist and ecophilosopher Joanna Macy. The four phases of gratitude, appreciating our pain for the world, seeing with new eyes, moving on and acting are linked to topics in geography lessons that are connected to water, commented on didactically and made tangible both musically and visually.
The importance of water for humans, animals and plants is well known. In connection with climate change, the problem of water scarcity is also increasingly being discussed in Germany. Ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water will therefore be a major challenge worldwide in the future.
In this lecture series, Leibniz University Hannover invites you to five lectures on the topic of water.
