Together with the heads of the Hannover Chemistry Seminars (Lydia Greyling and Frank Hilker) and with Benjamin Heinitz (University of Münster, doctorate at the IDN), Andreas Nehring conducted a workshop entitled “Reflection on teaching: assessing quality and advising trainee teachers”.
Assessing the quality of teaching and advising trainee teachers are key activities in the second phase of teacher training. In this workshop, we will look at a video vignette from a chemistry class, jointly assess aspects of the quality of teaching and exchange ideas about why and how the teaching teacher can be advised. Experiences from your own practice can be explicitly brought in. As a cross-phase team, we relate these experiences both to aspects of the scientific discussion and to our own experiences in advising students and trainee teachers and welcome any participation.
