The 25th International Conference of the Section for Biology Education (FDdB) of the German Society for Biology Education (VBIO), held in cooperation with the Austrian Association for Biology Education (VÖBD), took place at the University of Innsbruck from September 15-18, 2025, with the theme "Biology Education for a Sustainable World." The aim of the conference in Austria/Tyrol was to promote education for a sustainable future and biodiversity education, which helps learners acquire not only knowledge but also values and practical skills. The biology education team at IDN networked with other universities and participated in the conference through symposia, individual presentations, and poster sessions.
